How to join Birds Queensland
Birds Queensland is a non-profit society that finances its own activities. You can apply for membership in a number of ways:
- Fill in an on-line application form, and the details will be sent electronically to the Committee. Click here to access the form.
- A PDF form which you may print and complete by hand and mail it to the address below. Click here to download the form . Please note that this then entails manual transcription of your details to our system so is somewhat more subject to error.
You can pay by bank transfer, electronic or over-the-counter deposit; Paypal – account or credit card; or via a cheque. Details are provided on the forms. Or come to one of our meetings as a guest; introduce yourself, meet the members and find out what we do.

Members receive a monthly newsletter except in January. The society holds regular monthly camps and walks for members and guests, and is involved in a number of activities which include assisting in research, informing the community about birds and their habitat, and working to protect and maintain suitable habitats.
Membership renewal
Members who wish to renew their membership should use the online “Renew membership” form which is available in the members’ dashboard after logging in.

Gift Membership
Do you have any family or friends who might like to be BQ members? Solve your gift giving problems with a BQ Gift Membership Certificate. An attractive certificate has been designed and printed and is supplied with an envelope.
The usual New Member application process is followed so ensure that any request for a gift membership is lodged, including details of the proposed new member, before a Management Committee meeting (held the night before the monthly meeting), and in plenty of time for the special occasion for which you want the Gift Certificate.
