2018 Queensland Ornithological Conference

BirdLife Southern Queensland and Birds Queensland will host the 2018 Queensland Ornithological Conference at Women's College, University of Queensland, St Lucia on Saturday, 23 June 2018. The theme of this year's conference is Birds and Habitats.

Draft conference program

We are very pleased to announce the draft program for the 2018 conference. At the beautiful facilities of the UQ Womens college, a range of engaging speakers will talk to the conference theme of Birds and Habitats. The conference program will run from approximately 8:30am-5pm and be followed by the BirdLife Southern Queensland AGM and an optional informal dinner from 6pm.

Early bird registration: $70
Full registration: $85
Early bird student registration: $35

The 2018 conference raffle

The Queensland Ornithological Conference is very pleased to announce the 2018 CONFERENCE RAFFLE!

Post-conference tours

We have a wonderful selection of bird walks available for conference participants on the morning of Sunday, June 24th. Please download this flyer to view details about walks and walk leaders. As per the flyer, please sign up for your preferred bird walk ahead of the conference if possible (instructions in the flyer), or at the conference on June 23rd at the latest. All walks have limited spaces, so get in early to avoid disappointment!
